Trending Denim (Spring/Summer 2013)

According to fashion forecasting firm Dynamic Denim, Spring/Summer 2013 will be a season full of variety in denim. Not only will companies give great variety in denim choices, but they will also be using eco-friendly technology to produce these items.

Denim Trends:
1. Prints

• Scenery
• Floral
• Animal
• Stripes
• Polka dots
• Geometric shapes

2. Color

• Vintage color
• Saturated tones
• Vivid intense colors (burnt orange, dark red, rich turquoise)
• There will be less indigo tones used

3. Silhouette

• Skinny jeans will still be the largest trending silhouette.
• Wide-leg jeans (larger, oversized, heavier looking denim)
• Mid-rise waist lines

4. Technology

• Laser print- a large laser machine burns different print and patterns into denim.
• Indiogless- companies will use less indigo dye and fewer chemicals to produce demon.
• Eco-pockets- one company (will give exact name later) will take all left over scarps of fabric from their factory and use it to make the lining of the pockets for demon jeans.
